About Me
I graduated from Purdue University in December 2007 with a Bachelors degree in Aeronautical/Astronautical Engineering. I am currently living in Woodlawn, OH working in Controls Engineering for gas-turbine aircraft engines.

On the Kendo side, I started in August of 2003 at Purdue University. My original reasoning for starting was just for me to have something to do on the side to break the monotony of going to class and studying. Little did I know that this would just be the beginning of the long road of Budo. As of now, my main dojo is the University of Cincinnati Kendo Club. I also practice at Miami Valley Kendo Dojo in Dayton, OH and Northern Kentucky Kendo Club in Covington, KY.

I also recently started studying Musou Shinden Ryu Iaido at the Northern Kentucky Kendo Club as of February 2008. I have wanted to practice it for a few years now, but being in college, proximity to the nearest dojo and money issues at the time prevented me from finding time to dedicate. At first, I wasn't sure whether or not I was going to like this since Iaido mainly consists of solo kata practice, but I have found enough things in it that I like to keep going.

Purpose Of This Site
The main reason for me making this site is to be able to chart my progress in both Kendo and Iaido and share it with the budo community. I would also like to be able to share some information on the various, related concepts that I learn along the way and what they mean to me and my current Kendo skill. Recently, I added the following pages to the blog:
  • Main Page - This is where I will post retrospectives of the training I did from the recent past and explain concepts of things I have learned along the way.
  • About Me - You are looking at the page now. It's just a page about me...so there really isn't much to say here.
  • Videos/Pictures - This page will contain budo related pictures and video that I find nice to look at. I will also post any updates to my Youtube and Flickr pages here.
  • Budo Media Reviews - There are a lot of books, movies, anime and manga that are Kendo and Iaido related and I will post reviews of the material I find here.
The main thing that I would like from making the blog is to add another resource for Kendo and Iaido on the internet and provide everyone with an introspection to the art to make it more familiar with the public. I also welcome dialoge from anyone interested in the subjects at hand to get. So feel free to take a look around and I hope you like what you see. If you have any questions, comments or suggestions, feel free to email me at Anime12478@aol.com
